Your SouthWare ERP system will allow you to customize which users can see, access and edit various SouthWare features. Of course, you don’t want to hinder an employee from being able to do their job. You want to give them access but not TOO much. With SouthWare’s roles, you can keep accessibility not too tight and not too loose. Though this requires constant maintenance of roles when you add new employees or change various employees’ job tasks, it can be a very valuable feature if you have secure information you don’t want certain employees to access or fiddle with.

SouthWare includes templates for security roles that you can opt to apply. For example, the Super Manager (A/P) role allows that user to cut a check with a signature for any amount. However, the Operator Manager (A/P) role will only allow that user to cut a check up to $100. Though you want a team of employees you can trust and rely on, you also don’t want to give every employee full access to writing checks, editing product information or tampering with orders if that is not required for any of their job tasks. SouthWare’s user roles allow you to restrict employees from various points of access to maintain full internal security.
