How Long Does It Take You To Fulfill An Order?

The most popular metric that people look at in the sales order process is how long does it take for the order to go from the order to shipment (or how long does it take to process an order). Do you know where you stand? Do you track this metric in your organization?

If you don’t, then you should start. Here’s why:

Have you ever thought of what your company could look like in six months if you could shave off 10% of that time? Have you ever gone through the numbers and did a little what-if scenario? Take a moment to envision your organization becoming even just 10% more efficient in processing orders (this is a low estimate). What does it look like? Are your customers happier? Can you now process more orders in the same amount of time? Can you process more orders in even less time? What did you do with that free time? Did you re-invest it elsewhere or did you save the difference?

Imagine all the possibilities, then make a point to make then reality! We know it’s hard, you have a lot going on in your day-to-day, but if you never take the time to dream, then where will you end up?
