Have you ever wondered just how many parts we’re capable of handling for you?
We are currently working on an ERP project with our client, Logista, on creating an ERP system that can handle their massive e-commerce site. Logista sells over 500,000 parts that must all be input into the system and advertised on their site. Even though they will only carry about 10,000 parts at a time in their active inventory, because they drop ship a lot of their orders, the system doesn’t even blink an eye at it!
A similar company, Lab Depot, carries a physical inventory between 12,000 – 15,000. However, like Logista, Lab Depot advertises more items in their vendor catalog – over 300,000!
It’s also not uncommon for us to work with companies that may carry 12,000 parts in physical inventory but have 5 different warehouses, totaling 60,000 parts in physical inventory. One company, PBG, has approximately 50,000 parts at each of four warehouses, totaling over 200,000 parts in physical inventory at one time! – Now that’s a lot of parts!!
